Imphal: In a horrific incident a CRPF Jawan opened fire inside a camp in Lamsang under Imphal West District resulting in the deaths of fellow soldiers before taking his own life the incident took place at around 8:00 p.m. on Friday
Manipur police said havildar Sanjay Kumar accused open fired with a service weapon fatally shooting a constable and a sub inspector on the spot he then turned the gun on himself and was later declared dead reports stated eight personel sustained injuries in the firing and were immediately transported to the Regional Institute of Medical Sciences in Imphal for treatment according to initial reports attack is believe to have stemmed from a personal dispute.
There was no immediate official announcement from the CRPF, and the reason of the event is still being probed.
