According to police officials, the accused—identified as Mangminhao Lotjem, Satgoulal Sitlhou, and Seigunlal Lhanghal—were directly involved in the incident. The case had been registered earlier at Kangpokpi Police Station, and the arrests came after a detailed probe into the matter.

Authorities stated that the trio had allegedly attempted to burn down the workshop, raising concerns over safety and law and order in the region. Following the arrests, further legal proceedings are expected to take place as per due process.

Meanwhile, in response to the incident and ongoing security concerns, authorities have intensified surveillance and security measures across Manipur. Security forces have ramped up search operations and conducted area domination exercises, particularly in vulnerable and fringe areas.

Police also revealed that a large number of checkpoints have been set up across various districts in both hill and valley regions to monitor movement and prevent any further untoward incidents.

The strengthened security arrangements reflect the administration’s continued efforts to maintain peace and stability in the state amid sporadic incidents of violence.
